What is Together We Care?
Together We Care is a community based coalition of community leaders, parents, youth, schools, businesses and agencies whose common goal is to provide safe, healthy and drug-free communities.  Since its beginning in 1997, the hallmark of the organization has been to "do what you can for our youth and community."

Together We Care (TWC) promotes the development of young people into healthy, caring and responsible adults.  Through building Developmental Assets (R) and the implementation of research/evidence based prevention activities, TWC hopes to impact the lives of youth in powerful ways.  The only criteria for membership in TWC is desire to make a positive difference in the community.

TWC Vision --  A drug-free Ohio County

Mission - Together We Care is a group of parents, youth, schools, businesss, law enforcement, churches, agencies and community leaders, working for a healthy, safe, drug-free community!

Become a "Friend" of Together We Care.

TWC has had 14 years of grant funding and will continue to search and write for grants, both Federal and State.  However, the past 10 years of Drug Free Communities support grant (Federal funding) will no longer be available.  Through the years, this funding has provided school prevention programs, events, drug & alcohol awareness compaigns, mentoring program and supported many community events.

In September 2013, Ohio County will NOT BE ELIGIBLE to receive this funding anymore. The time has come to look to the community to help sustain the work of its coalition.  Donations from "Friends", will help continue the substance abuse education programs and other projects for youth and Ohio County citizens.  A donation of $20 a month from friends like you will see that these programs will continue.
